Corona del Mar High School's Vocal Music Program
Performing Groups
CdM Vocal Music consists of a variety of performing groups that cater to students of all levels, because we believe that choral music should be accessible to everyone, regardless of skill level or interest. Our ensembles perform varying styles of repertoire and each group provides a unique and engaging experience.

Most recently they competed in the Kathaumixw International Choral Competition in the beautiful Powell River, British Colombia, where they received First Place in the Youth Choir and in the Contemporary Competitions and Second place in Folk Song. They also received the prestigious Elmer Iseler award, awarded to the best performance of an original Canadian composition, the first American choir to ever receive this award in history! They are dedicated to making great music, and often perform difficult pieces of music written by prominent women composers. Noteoriety is Corona del Mar High School’s most diverse ensemble, consisting of over 50 members and containing students ranging from grades 8 through 12. Noteoriety’s strength lies in its incredible infectious energy, and in the clear joy these students feel to be making music. Despite being majority middle school, Noteoriety consistently performs well in High School choral festivals, even hosting one each year during the month of April. They rehearse three times a week with the aim of developing vocal technique and sight reading ability.
